Gideon Pit Bull Terrier Senior - Adoption, Rescue for sale in College Station, Texas

Gideon is a beautiful 7-8 year old brindle boy who suffered severe abuse prior to coming to program in 2013. He is majorly blind (a result of the physical trauma he sustained) and he has one eye that was surgically removed - but that's ok because he looks like he's constantly winking at you!

In January 2014, Gideon was adopted to a wonderful family who truly adored him. But as he got older, he started to become more agitated with the other dogs in the home and unfortunately, the family felt the best decision to keep everybody safe was to return Giddy to our program.

We re-accepted Gideon with open arms in November 2015 and he was the same happy boy we remembered. However, as time passed, we noticed he was losing a significant amount of weight and was having trouble managing his bowels & bladder. While he is not incontinent, he would have frequent accidents in his kennel. After multiple tests with no definitive results, our veterinarian decided to treat Gideon as though he has IBD and with a special diet & medications, Gideon seems to be doing much better.

Gideon is 7-8 years old, kennel trained, and very sweet. While he would prefer to be the only animal in the home, he certainly knows how to fill the space with his happy self! We call this boy our "Kissy Monster" for a reason -- want to learn why? Apply to adopt him today!
